The pursuit of health equity must be a primary shaper of efforts within and directly adjacent to healthcare to get vastly more Americans physically active.  That is a conclusion of the PfA Task Force out of its September retreat in Denver, CO.  When its final systems-change map is published, the Task Force is expected to call for the widespread expansion of abundant, compelling opportunities to become physically active, building on community assets and culture to achieve optimal health across the lifespan. The Task Force believes such opportunities must be abundant and compelling regardless of age, ethnicity, or income.

The systems-change map is tentatively scheduled to be released in June 2017.
